We did what we had to order to enjoy a little view then left.More, I went to descanso twice while over on the island, once during the day. As a native Catalina Islander, he made jokes, helped us find our way, and definitely made us want to come back for an entire weekend!!! All over Avalon, half of the people acted like COVID didn't exist. There is a poor excuse for a beach in the downtown and another one about a 10-minute walk up the coast to Descanso Beach. I walked away for a couple of minutes, came back and the line was about 10 people, not distanced, and was going to take a good 20-30min to work through. For those who prefer to dress down for dinner, Descanso Beach Club's low-key style is the perfect match. The people are friendly.
